Speaker Bios
Richard W. Brown, Shareholder at Anderson Kill, concentrates his practice on insurance coverage litigation for policyholders. He has secured significant recoveries across a wide range of insurance lines, including commercial property, builders risk, professional and protective liability, directors and officers, marine, and cyber-risk policies.
Richard has litigated multiple issues of first impression in state and federal courts, including a New York Court of Appeals decision addressing the scope of additional insured coverage and a Florida federal case involving attorney-fee recovery in declaratory judgment actions.
He represents policyholders nationwide in the construction, energy, and real estate sectors, working with clients that range from regional contractors and real estate firms to a leading multinational renewable‑energy company.
Alongside his litigation work, Richard advises insurance brokers and corporate clients on insurance and indemnity provisions, risk‑management strategies, and potential operational exposures.
